Mr. A. Saiprasad is a practicing advocate. He is a commerce graduate from Vijaya College. He pursued his Chartered Accountancy course under Sri.B.P.Rao, Chartered Accountant and Past President of the ICAI. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the year 2006. He qualified as an advocate in 2009 while working under his senior Sri K.S.Ravi Shankar. He started his independent practice in 2012. He represents Trade and Industry before departmental authorities, judicial forums of CESTAT, Revisionary Authority & High Court of Karnataka. Mr Saiprasad has also pursued and completed his post qualification courses in Diploma in Systems Audit (DISA) from ICAI and Computer Information Systems Audit (CISA) from ISACA, USA. He has presented paper at National and State Level Conferences and contributed monthly articles to Bangalore Branch of ICAI Journal. He was part of Research Committee – GST Sub Group, SIRC of ICAI dealing with suggesting “Transitional Provisions for GST” and a part of Bangalore Study Group - GST constituted by Indirect Tax Committee, New Delhi. He is one of the faculties for post qualification course in Indirect Taxes, conducted for CAs by Indirect Tax Committee, ICAI, New Delhi. He has also thought departmental officials of customs, excise and service tax, across India in addition to CA and ICWA students.
